ECM What's New: automations driven by any date that matters

April 23, 2026

Event operations run on dates: event date, balance due date, licence renewal, supplier confirmation deadline. Until now, date-triggered reminders in ECM could only hang off a contact's fields, which forced clumsy workarounds when the date really belonged to the booking or the event itself.

Date reminders now work with date fields on opportunities, companies and custom records, not just contacts. Automations can fire before, on, or after any of those dates.

What this looks like in practice: a balance chase that triggers six weeks before the event date held on the booking record. An internal alert when a venue licence on a company record is ninety days from renewal. A supplier nudge driven by the delivery date on the event record itself.

The dates already live in your system. Now they can do the chasing.
